Our Story

Mangiamo is a new food concept developed by Joe The Boss, well known in the South Philly and Center City areas where his culinary talents have used only the finest ingredients including extra virgin olive oil, fresh Parmigiano, Reggiano cheese grated before your eyes, and premiere brand Bell & Evans chicken. Mangiamo brings you top quality dishes while at the same time maintaining a health conscious dietary menu that is not only fast but affordable.

Chef Joey has been taught by the greatest Chefs in Philadelphia, the creator of all dishes at the Saloon Executive Chef Bruno Scarini, where it all started, then cooked at Primavera kitchen. Joey opened up Pasta Cucina in 1992 in the Bellevue hotel and flourished there 10 years then sold the business and moved to Florida. Chef Joey became one of Steve Martorano’s Executive Chefs where he worked side by side with Steve for 6 years at Cafe Martorano in the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fl. After six years away, Joey became Executive Chef of British Airways First Class Lounge in Philadelphia and now started Mangiamo, making all fresh Italian special dishes Old World fast and fresh.
